Project Goals
NUBA Homes is one of two components of the proposal for the BPDA's Parcel 8 in Nubian Square, put forward in partnership by Urbanica and the NHP Foundation. Urbanica is responsible for NUBA Homes, which will create 45 units of mixed-income ownership housing, ranging from 80% to 120% of AMI. A portion of the condo units will function as live-work artist spaces with studio and retail space on the ground floor of each unit. The unit mix includes 16 units below 80% AMI, 16 units below 100% AMI, and 13 units below 120% AMI. The bedroom mix includes 32 one-bedroom units and 13 two-bedroom units.

This project is going through a zoning review with the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA). Then we’ll work with the Developer on funding, design, and compliance.
