New iOS Version of ParkBoston Launched

The City of Boston has launched the latest version of our ParkBoston app on the Apple Store (iOS), which allows you to pay for metered spaces across the City. This update will be coming soon to Android devices.

Affidavits

The 2025 Biennial Affidavits were mailed out August 15, 2025. Please complete the entire document and return to the Boston Retirement System before October 15, 2025, to avoid interruption of your monthly benefit.

Please note:
  • You only need the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number on the SSN line.
  • Your signature on the Affidavit MUST be notarized in order to be accepted.
  • If you have a Power of Attorney, POA papers must be on file at the Retirement Board or MUST accompany the signed Affidavit.
  • If you do not receive an affidavit, you may request a duplicate after September 1, 2025 to be sent to you.

Latest updates

MONTHLY PENSIONS:
Monthly pension checks will be mailed on the last Tuesday of the month. Funds for recipients who elected direct deposit will be deposited to accounts on the last Tuesday of the month.

When and where

The Boston Retirement Board holds its monthly meetings on either the third or fourth Wednesday of the month.

Our meetings start at 9:00 a.m. The meetings take place in Room 816 of Boston City Hall unless otherwise noted. Please note that during the construction phase meetings will be taking place in different locations. Please refer to upcoming meetings section in our website to see the meeting's location.
