This meeting was postponed from Wednesday, March 21, to Tuesday, March 27, due to anticipated snowstorm.

Please join Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF), and Boston Public Schools (BPS) at a community meeting on Tuesday, March 27, from 6 - 8 p.m. at BCYF Cleveland Community Center (Dorchester Academy).

This meeting will share information about the relocation of staff and services from the BCYF Cleveland Community Center to the Marshall School building (UP Academy Dorchester) 35 Westville Street.  The relocation of the community center is necessary due to BPS plans to use the Cleveland School (Dorchester Academy) building as a swing space location for the citywide BuildBPS school renovation master plan. The space’s first occupant will be the Boston Arts Academy which will relocate there beginning in September, 2018.

At this meeting, we will focus on the design elements related to new linear parks and facilities for walking and bicycling.

This meet gives all BCYF swimmers the chance to end the swim season in healthy competition against other BCYF centers’ swim teams. 

Enjoy coffee, refreshments, creative arts, and conversation with new friends of all ages. A guest artist will lead a creative exploration each month.  This month we will have trivia and a fun Easter craft activity. Please come and bring your questions and your family memories. A Memory Cafe is a place where individuals with memory loss and their caregivers can get together in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. It is a time and place where people can interact, laugh, find support, share concerns, and celebrate with other people experiencing memory challenges and their care partners. Attendees enjoy refreshments, conversation, and activities in a relaxed, supportive setting. A caregiver must accompany participants requiring special assistance. A Memory Cafe offers a participatory program or guest facilitator each month.

This month, we will be doing a fascinating program on tracing your roots and starting a family tree. Please come and bring your questions and your family memories.
