A friendly reminder to check your detectors on Sunday, March 8

With the clocks springing forward, the Boston Fire Department wants to remind you to Check your Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors.

When detectors operate properly they save lives. Protect yourselves and your families this weekend by remembering to test both your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are working.

Schedule Sunday March 8th, 2020 to Change your clock and check your alarms.s.

Check how old your detectors are — if they are 10 years old or more, replace them. Remember, they are only guaranteed by most detector manufacturers to operate for 10 years.

Change your detector batteries!
