Rose-Darla M. Pascal is a Rapid Response Community Liaison at the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement (MOIA). In her role, her passion drives her to serve the Haitian community by ensuring that newly arrived families have access to resources such as emergency shelter and other necessities. As an immigrant, she understands the hardships of moving to a different country, such as learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. Her experience has motivated her to give back to her community in any way she can.

From 16 years old, she has dedicated herself to serving the Haitian community. She began by working at the Immigrant Family Services Institute (IFSI), teaching rising fourth graders English and Mathematics, many of whom were immigrants or children of immigrants. Later, she worked for Attest Education Group, an educational initiative that strives to provide stellar STEAM education to black and brown children and children from immigrant families. She later returned to IFSI after graduating college to serve as a General Program Assistant. There, she supported the submission of grants, helped in the after-school program by tutoring and teaching high school students English, and helped families and individuals apply for work authorization and temporary protected status. From there, she moved on to the International Institute of New England (IINE) to provide case management to Haitian families and individuals by ensuring that those eligible receive Refugee Cash Assistance. 

Rose-Darla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Sciences and Philosophy from the UMASS Amherst. She is fluent in Haitian Creole.
