Daniel Bryan first worked for the City of Boston as an elected leader on the Mayor's Youth Council when he was in High School from 2017 to 2019. He is a Charlestown native and current resident of Jamaica Plain. 

Dan began his post high school career with the City administering the Youth Pass reduced fare CharlieCard program for the City of Boston, where he developed a new application system that was later adapted by the MBTA for use system-wide. In 2021, he became the coordinator of Youth Lead the Change, Boston's $1 million per year youth participatory budgeting program, returning as an adult to the work he led as YLC Director on the Mayor's Youth Council in 2019. 

This led Dan to become Mayor's Youth Council Coordinator during the 2022-2023 Council year, the position in which he currently serves. In this new role, he has been instrumental in restructuring the Mayor's Youth Council and guiding its transition into the newly founded Office of Youth Engagement and Advancement (OYEA). He is a strong believer in the power of youth leadership and is passionate about strengthening democratic decision making in government, especially participatory budgeting. He is proud to work with a team of dedicated youth workers, all of whom are 25 or younger themselves.

During his time with the City since 2020, Dan has also been pursuing a B.A. in Philosophy from Suffolk University. In his free time, Dan enjoys riding his bike and exploring Boston's parks, as well as sailing at Courageous Sailing Center on Boston Harbor, where he has been an instructor in the youth program since 2016.
